Monday 03/02/09 - S&P Breaks Below 700

A very bad day for long-term investors (401ks, pension funds, IRAs) with the S&P breaking below 700. My schedule on Monday's is typically too jam packed to even trade on the Sim, but I managed to eek out a +4.75 point net gain by taking a few 1-2 pt quick gains (mostly to the Long side). So now we have another open gap from 733.00.

Open Gap at 733.00

ES/TICK (3-min)

ES Market Balance (5-min Day Session)

I won't be tracking the TF charts for now since I'm not actively trading the TF (Mini-Russel).

  1. You were taking some crazy shizit but they all seemed to work out for you! Luck? Skill? Both?

All I know is that when I forget an order and I get filled it runs against me not for me!

  2. Yea, the Long at 706 was an accident (old order) but I stuck with the 6-tick stop, and exited it for +2 ticks (left money on the table since ES than went up to 710+).
